We are very excited to announce that we are launching the beta version of GoldMind for web to the public! We have been sprinting to the finish line to get this ready because we know, as most do, that the quarantine has been difficult. For many, emotions run more powerfully due to movement and daily routines becoming so restricted by social distancing, “stay at home” orders, and COVID-19. The mental health of many is strained and suffering. We also know the power that writing and introspection has to cut through that emotion and provide you with clarity and perspective.
“I can shake off everything as I write; my sorrows disappear, my courage is reborn.” – Anne Frank
There are so many ways to strengthen mindfulness, one’s relationship with their emotions, and mental health during this pandemic. And while journaling is one of the most powerful, it is not on many people’s radar. GoldMind provides a tool that makes it easy to experience the benefits of mindful writing. It seeks to be a place where anyone can find clarity with their thoughts and process feelings of fear, frustration, stress, and loneliness. A place to find questions that guide the mind down better paths and help it avoid falling into ruts of rumination when every day seems to melt together. A place that guides people to more frequently notice the good in those around them, their circumstances, and themselves.
“Journal writing, when it becomes a ritual for transformation, is not only life-changing, but life-expanding.” – Jen Williamson
In an effort to help as many as possible cope with the challenges of living under quarantine, a special set of #QuarantineCoping exercises has been created to give an extra mental boost to those who register during the COVID-19 pandemic. The more mindful we are of our emotions and circumstances during these unique times, the more we’ll find that we can thrive amidst challenges. We’ll come out stronger than when this started.
“Meanings are not determined by situations. We determine ourselves by the meanings we ascribe to situations.” – Alfred Adler
While in beta, GoldMind will be completely free. It will continue to be free for as long as everyone is stuck inside! When there is a light at the end of the quarantine tunnel, users will receive an email informing them the date by which they will need to subscribe in order to continue using GoldMind’s full feature set. But don’t worry! Regardless of whether users stay with us at that point or not, they will still be able to access everything they’ve written during these strange but important times. GoldMind will also have basic features that will be free forever.
Go sign up for GoldMind and give it a shot! Still hesitant? Writing in a journal will put you in good company. It has been a critical habit for many of the world’s most successful and mindful people such as Marcus Aurelius, Leonardo Da Vinci, Benjamin Franklin, Marie Curie, and Bill Gates, just to name a few. Writing will slow down your mind and help you see important details you were otherwise moving too quickly to see. The guided writing exercises will help you direct your mind to focus on the people and things you care most about and help you to move through each day feeling more empowered. GoldMind will help you navigate this quarantine with intention so that you can come out from this a stronger and a more focused you.
